Zusammenfassung:A shaped ceramic catalyst consists of a catalytically active ceramic material in the form of a honeycomb with 50-1200 (pref. 100-600) cells/sq.in. and a wall thickness of 0.1-0.6 (pref. 0.1-0.3) mm. Pref. the catalytically active material is one or more of TiO2, WO2, MoO3 and V2O5. The ceramic material has a pore radius of 10-50 nm. and a specific surface of 20-150 sq.m./g. and contains 0.1-10 wt.% fireclay. USE/ADVANTAGE - The catalyst is used esp. in exhaust gas pipes of diesel engines, gas turbines and the like. It has high catalytic activity, can be extruded to fine honeycombs and contains a film-forming aid which promotes uniform drying to prevent crack formation.
