Coaxial cable end section mfg. method e.g. for fitting to electrical terminal - uses axial displacement and rotation of removal sleeve section of cable outer section

Coaxial cable end termination mfg. system uses axial displacement and rotation of removed sleeve section of cable outer insulation. The coaxial cable end termination is obtained by removing a section (6) of the outer insulation of the coaxial cable and displacing this section axially while the cable (4) is held fixed in the direction of the free cable end (7). The displaced cable section is then rotated to unwind the spirally wound cable screening wires (2), to form a hollow space in which a flat bar is inserted. The insulation section (6) and the screening wires (2) are then rotated about the cable axis to wind them around the inserted bar. The displaced insulation section (6) is pref. held between a pair of clamp plates which can be displaced axially and rotated relative to the cable axis. ADVANTAGE - Allows full automation of cable end termination.
