Zusammenfassung:	A cylinder or cylinder head cast from a hypoeutectic Al-Si alloy containing 4.5-13.5 wt.% Si is provided with an internal lining by casting in a bush made of hypereutectic Al-Si alloy having uniformly dispersed grains of Si, hard material and/or hard intermetallic compounds. Prior to casting, the outer surface of the bush is subjected to a process for removing organic impurities, followed by pickling in acid (mixture) to remove oxide. Finally, after water rinsing, it is pickled in a zincate solution. USE/ADVANTAGE - In internal combustion engines. Bush provides good running surface which is not subjected to wear from a moving piston head, and the outer surface of the bush is reliably metallurgically bound to the cylinder wall due to the fact it was free from oxide.
