Zusammenfassung:A hydrostatic radial bearing for a servo cylinder under shear loading taken by the piston rod end. The piston bearing comprises a number of regularly spaced bearing 'pockets' which are fed by choke valves under pump pressure, with intermediate pressure connections from a pressure medium source. The choke valves (46) are arranged between an entry opening (48) and at least one exit groove (44) connected between opposing pockets (34). The exit fluid pressure drop between pockets in an axial direction to both sides is variable. ADVANTAGE - High performance, good regulation, low leakage losses.
