Zusammenfassung: | When reserve winding on the tube of a reel, before main winding commecnes, the reserve takes the initial length of yarn and covers it, to hold id down, then separates the free end. Pref. the yarn (10) is wound from a package and through yarn guides to the cross winder. The position is controlled by the guide (13) as reserve winding commences. The yarn end enters a notch in the disc (7), and is drawn by suction into the passage (49). The sensor (S) determines when yarn is present. The angle of the yarn (22') is arranged to be along the length of the tube, and at right angles to the direction of wind, and is held in this position until further winding covers it (28). The mechanism (30) has a cutter blade, which trims off the loose end of yarn, and this is carried away in the suction passage. The reserve winding secures the end (22'), which is available on the reel for creeling purposes. ADVANTAGE - The free end is always available, but does not become trapped in transit or in winding. It is securely fastened by the reserve winding. |
