Recycling-fähiges bedruckbares Verpackungsklebebandpapier

Paper which can be printed on and recycled for use as adhesive packaging tape is claimed. The tape (6) has a paper substrate (1) with a water-sensitive silicone-free release coat (2) on the back, opt. a soft bonding agent (primer) (3) on the other side and opt. a soft interlayer (5); substrate (1) is sized, low-absorbent sodium kraft paper produced by the Clupak process. Paper (1) has base wt. 50-90 g/m2 and tear strength 50-80 N/15 mm in the uncoated state. Release coat (2) is water-sensitive and printable and is applied at the rate of 2-8 g/m2. Interlayer (5) is a very soft elastomer which may be applied as a precoating to improve the flexibility of (2); pref. (2) is e.g. Primal R253 (RTM: acrylate dispersion), (5) is a dispersion of carboxylated SB rubber (50% styrene) and primer (3) is e.g. a mixt. of 50% prevulcanised natural rubber latex and 50% butyl acrylate dispersion. The tape also has a layer of conventional self-adhesive material (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for sealing cartons, sticking paper packaging together, etc. This tape has the strength and flexibility of conventional PP- or PVC- based tape, but can be easily and cheaply recycled.
