Zusammenfassung:Location support for mould cores for hollow cast bodies, esp. cam shafts, comprising a pin (38) having an anchoring section (26) for fixing in the outer mould (14), a cast-in section (34) with a projection (40) normal to the pin axis and a support element (36) for holding the core (24). The cast-in section pref. has a collar (40) tapering to a point and projecting from the pin shank by a minimum of one pin radius and a maximum of twice the pin radius. The collar (40) is positioned approximately in the middle of the cast-in section (34). Several variants of core support and associated mould are also claimed. ADVANTAGE - The claimed invention provides an improved support for stabilising the location of mould cores for hollow cast bodies, esp. arm shafts, and avoids problems in the area of the cast-in support.
