Zusammenfassung:	The method involves applying force to the object (1) at positionally successive points or distributed over an area, and measuring and evaluating the resulting deformation. The investigation is conducted using a constant force. It can be repeated with different forces for each measurement process. The force can be successively applied at points along a main load line of the object. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. in hotels etc. for measuring the states of mattresses and other similar elastic flat objects after long periods in use. Effective measurement is achieved yielding results amenable to evaluation w.r.t. decision criteria re the continued use or replacement of the objects.
