Zusammenfassung:	The engine has at least one camshaft (5) located in bearings in the cylinder head (1) and which has between bearings cams (6) for operation of gas exchange valves (7) beneath it. At least one return flow hole (18) is provided for feed back of lubricating oil to the sump of the engine from the cylinder head (1). An oil catchment device comprises a curved first catchment wall (21) for each cam (6) on the side turned away from the valve (7) and running in the rotary direction of the camshaft, which evolves from a point near the circle (23) described by the point of the cam, and around which a channel wall (24) extends at a distance. USE/ADVANTAGE - An oil catchment system for the cams on a camshaft of an IC engine.
