Zusammenfassung:A storage disc 9 comprises a recording medium 8 which is covered on both sides by a lacquer coat 1 and 7. The lacquer coats are cured with the aid of ultra-violet radiation. The recording medium 8 comprises a substrate 2 which is coated with a four-layer structure. This four-layer structure comprises a first dielectric layer 3, a magneto-optical recording layer 4, a second dielectric recording layer 5 and a reflection layer 6. The material for the substrate 2 is a polymer of polycyclic olefins prepared by polymerisation without ring opening. These so-called COC grades are random copolymers, made, for example, from norbornene and ethylene. As substrate material, it is also possible to copolymerise norbornene derivatives with various 1-olefins, and alloys of various COC grades are also suitable.
