Zusammenfassung: | A position-coupling element (2) continuously determines the actual position of the vehicle in a plane, while a position-supporting element (3) measures its position in space w.r.t. reference points whose location at the instant of measurement is known. The position error of the vehicle is deduced from individual measurements on a surface of the reference point. The corrected position is displayed and used in e.g. control of steering. ADVANTAGE - Vehicle can range over longer distances without significant deviation of actual from desired positions. |
