Zusammenfassung:	A transport rack for glass sheets for automobiles comprises a torsion-resistant bottom part (1) and two rows (21, 22) of support bars (23) aligned vertically. The support bars (23) form insertion compartments, to be loaded from above, for single glass sheets (29, 32). A rider-type holding element (31) is secured resiliently on each support bar (23) in such a way that it can be fitted under prestress onto the upper edge of the glass sheet (29, 32) assigned to the respective support bar (23). In this manner, each single glass sheet (29, 32) can be fixed individually in its insertion compartment independently of the adjacent glass sheets.
