Zusammenfassung:	To coat an optic fibre in a pressure coating vessel, the pressure (p) to deliver a supply of coating varnish is controlled so that the functional connection between the draw speed (v) of the optical fibre and the pressure (p) in the coating vessel (2) is used as a nominal value (s) for the pressure control (4), through a computer unit (3). Pref. the actual pressure (p) is transferred from a pressure monitor (6) to the input of the comparator at the control (4). The drawing speed (v) is passed online to the computer (3). The computer (3)takes one of a number of characteristics held in the system, according to the coating requirements, to generate the appropriate nominal value (s). A setting value generated by the control (4) is passed to a setting valve (7) to set the pressure (p). ADVANTAGE - The control action gives an even coating of resin over the optic fibre.
