Zusammenfassung: | The safety stop prevents unauthorised use of firearms, particularly stolen pistols and rifles, where the axes of the barrel and the magazine containing the rounds are parallel or the magazine can be swung into this position. It comprises a hollow tubular body of the same size as a cartridge case (6), and containing a locking plunger (7). This can be slid into the barrel (3) of the gun (1) and is lockable to the body in both end positions. The plunger diameter can match the internal diameter of the barrel, and in its forward end there can be a recess for a corresponding release pin, the latter being inserted through the muzzle end of the barrel. ADVANTAGE - Simple to use, and can only be removed by an unauthorised person by destroying the firearm. |
