Zusammenfassung:A switching arrangement for multiple pole switching of an electrically consuming device (11) comprises a manually actuable switching member (12) for opening the contacts (3, 5, 8, 10) of contact sets (2, 6) to a required spacing (a) and a relay (13) operating at least one of the contact sets (6). The switching member (12) in its switched-on position moves the relay contacts (8, 10) to a position where they are either closed or at a spacing (b) which is smaller than the required minimum spacing (a). From this position, the relay contacts (8, 10) are opened or closed by the relay (13).
