Monitoring and regulating amt. emptied from self-emptying centrifuge - measuring current consumption of electromotor before and after partial emptying and comparing difference with stipulated value

The centrifuge (1) is equipped with a drum driven by an electric motor (6) and with channels (5) for removing solid matter, opened periodically for emptying the drum, at least partially. The quantity of solid matter removed can be varied by a control element (9). The current consumption of the electric motor is measured immediately before the emptying process. The emptying is then started and the consequent increase in the current consumption is also measured. The difference between the two measurements is compared in the control unit (8) with a predetermd. stipulated value and any deviation evaluated. ADVANTAGE - Amt. of material taken from drum can be kept constant in simple way.
