Zusammenfassung: | The apparatus displays time in the usual hours, minutes and seconds format. A quinary system of indication is used with a matrix of identical illuminated units. The numbers 1 to 4 are represented by a right-hand vertical column whilst a central column indicates the numbers J, 10, 15, 20 and a left-hand column indicates the numbers 25 or 50 to complete a minutes/seconds display. The hours 1 to 24 are displayed in a separate 2 column matrix in similar quinary fashion. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides clear and easily recognisable display of time, regulating only 18 switchable elements to give collective resolution of 1 minute throughout 24 hour time span. Correct interpretation of display e.g. on a building in darkness is readily achieved using permanently illuminated strip below matrices. |
