Zusammenfassung: | 2.1 The catalytic activity of known DeNOx catalysts increasingly decays in the course of the time in use until replacement of the catalysts is inevitable. Since the replacement of the DeNOx catalysts is cost-intensive, causes temporary shut-down of the combustion installation and, furthermore, pollutants requiring disposal are formed, the service lives of the DeNOx catalysts are to be extended.
2.2 For this purpose, the invention provides that a molybdenum-oxygen compound (14, 90) or a precursor compound thereof is precipitated on the spent DeNOx catalysts. This can be effected by injecting molybdenum oxide-containing dust into the flue gas duct above the DeNOx catalysts or by depositing molybdenum oxide-containing surfaces in the flue gas duct above the DeNOx catalysts.
