Of the supporting and covering layers, one or both are of fleece, while one can be of fabric or textile. The three layers are pinned together. The clay is in powder form, with 90% of the particles of less than 0.06 mm. and 70% of less than 0.002 mm. dia. The surface wt. of the clay is in direct proportion to its swelling capacity. The surface wt. and free cross-section of the fleece material are within set limits.
