Verfahren zum Reparieren von fotografischen Filmen

PURPOSE: To make an exposed photographic roll film repairable, by applying a patch of a flexible reinforcing material only on a side part of the defective film, so as to prevent an image part of the film from being affected. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with testing units 15 and 16 for detecting the damaged part of the film, and repairing unit 17 for applying a patch of preferably a light transmission characteristic sheet such as enforcing thermoplastic plastic material on the side part of the defective film, in such a way that the film 5 whose web is damage is enforced. The patch forming in cooperation with at least one oblong strip 18, the strip 18 forming a rotary roll, and corresponding to the damage detection signal from the testing units 15 or 16, is pulled from a core of the rotary roll, by a pair of advancing rolls. The patch can be obtained by cutting the strip 18 by a cutting device, and making it possible to be applied only on the side part of the damaged film 5 in the detected defective part, because of being narrow.
