Zusammenfassung: | Liq. to be delivered in accurate vol. within the micro-litre or ultra-monolitre range is fed by a standard piston and cylinder (1,2) along connecting box to a metering canule (4) with an open end from which protrudes the 'skin' formed by surface tension and which holds a quantity of the supplied liq. The skin is broken by transverse vibrations applied through a canule wall from an external vibrator (11) actuated by an electro-mechanical or piezoelectric source (10). Intensity of vibration of frequency 100 Hz to 10 kHz is adjustable by the position of a slidable clamp support for the vibrator. USE/ADVANTAGE - For clinical and other laboratories, where delivery rate must have no effect on accuracy of metered vol. |
