Zusammenfassung: | To ensure the consistency of yarn or sliver material etc., to be tested such as capacitatively to convert mass swings into signal shifts, the material to be tested is dried first. The material is pref. dried by circulating air in a drying station, with the air fed in and extracted so that the moisture content in the air can be compared and the difference shows the drying measure. During drying, the material is weighed at time intervals, and the weight difference is taken as the measure for the drying action. The material drying is in a kiln or other hot chamber, at about 105 deg C., for 2-4 hrs., or by microwave, or by passing through a heated drying stretch. The material to be tested can be cops, yarn or roving bobbins, or sliver material taken from a can. A drying station (1) for the material is in front of the test station (2), in the direction of material (5) travel, within and through the drying station (1), or the material can be outside the drying station (1) to pass through it before entering the testing stage (2). The drying station (1) has an air inlet and outlet (17) with, at the air entry, a feed shaft (13) with a fan (14) and heater (16). Sensors are close to the air entry and outlet (17) openings to register the air moisture and/or temp., connected to a control unit (20). Weighing scales can be fitted for the material (5) to be tested. The drying station (1) can be a microwave oven. ADVANTAGE - The material can be passed through the testing piont at a faster rate, and the test results give more positive stopping point for actual faults in the material. |
