Zusammenfassung:A frequency converter (3) is connected upstream of the electric motor (2) for speed control. The frequency converter (3) consists of a power section (6) and the normal electronics. While these normal electronics are constructed as a structural unit with the electric motor (2), the power section (6) is arranged as a module (7), in the form of a structural unit (2) separated from the motor. The module (7) may be arranged independently of the motor and is electrically connected to the motor structural unit (2) via a connecting cable (8). The use of the motor is now no longer dependent on the heat sink required to cool the power section (6), since only the module (7) must be matched thereto.
