Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and a device for freezing fluid matter, such as, for example, bacterial suspensions. The fluid matter is sprayed by means of a dual-flow nozzle 3 onto a cryogenic liquid contained in a bath 4. For this, the dual-flow nozzle 3 is subjected, on the one hand, to the fluid matter and, on the other hand, to a propellent gas which is under pressure. Preferably, the fluid matter is also subjected to pressure. By varying the pressure of the propellent gas and/or the pressure of the fluid matter, a very wide range from frozen powders to pellets can be produced.
