Oxidn.- and cold-stable middle distillates prodn. - from mineral oil fractions by hydrocracking using hydrocracking catalyst and hydrotreating using borosilicate pentasil zeolite

Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Oxidn-stable and cold-stable base oils and middle distillates are produced from mineral oil fractions boiling in the range above 350 deg C. The novelty is that the mineral oil fraction is converted on a hydrocracking catalyst under hydrocracking conditions to 20-80 wt% components boiling below 360 deg C, the reactor charge is sepd in a high pressure separator into liq and gaseous phase. In a second stage of the process, the whole reactor charge or only the liq phase, directly or after distilling off the components boiling below 360 deg C is treated with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst contg a crystalline borosilicate pentasil-type zeolite, Al203 or amorphous aluminosilicate as carrier and metal(s) from gp VIb or VIII and P, at 200-450 deg C and 20-150 bar. After distilling off the hydrogenation prod a middle distillate boiling in the range 180-360 deg C with a pour pt below -30 deg C and an oxidn-stable residue with a bpt above 360 deg C, VI 110-135 and pour pt below -12 deg C is obtd.
