Zusammenfassung:The optical fusing for a missile warhead is designed to be carried in a missile. The transmitted beam (7) and the reflected beam (9) intersect in an area (13). The light reflected in the beam (11) is used as an inhibitor to narrow the reflected beam and reduce the size of the area (21), thus giving a suitably reduced area (19) where the intensity and phasing of the beams (7,9) can be amplified to trigger the detonation of the warhead.
