Zusammenfassung:	The light element, e.g bulb, is at the focal point of the ellipsoid reflector, fixed at its outer edge to one end of a plastics supporting tube. The headlamp closure disc is fitted to the far end of the tube. A collimating lens between disc and reflector has a shutter at its focal point to give a light/dark boundary in the issuing light bundle. Headlamp fixers project radially from the tube casing surface. Longitudinal reinforcing ribs (15,16) are moulded to the casing surface of the tube (1) lengthways and the headlamp fixers (18) consist of straps, again moulded to the casing surface and tied to the ribs (16). A groove between two adjoining ribs (16) is formed by an endface wall (20) into a channel (22) facing into the headlamp from the end nearest the closure disc (3) and facing to the area round the lamp at the other end. ADVANTAGE - Support tube reinforced to resist thermal expansion and contraction without increased material, outlay maintaining air access and water removal.
