Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a herbicide and growth-regulating composition, which comprises a) 3-isopropyl-1H-2,1,3-benzothiadizin-4(3H)-one-2,2-dioxide and b) (+/-)-2-ethoxy-2,3-dihydro-3,3-dimethylbenzofuran-5-yl methanesulfonate or any of its enantiomers. Such a composition may be in admixture with one or more solid and/or liquid carrier(s), preferably with the grist of native mineral or synthetic materials, or inert solvent(s), preferably xylene or cyclohexanone and optionally with surface active agent(s), preferably anionic or nonionic emulsifying or dispersing agent(s). The composition is useful for controlling weeds in, or for desiccating and defoliating crops, e.g. maize, soy, sunflower, potato, flax and hemp prior to harvesting.
