Zusammenfassung: | Selection of yeast strains capable of producing dicarboxylic acids from alkanes is effected by culturing a yeast cell suspension on a nutrient medium contg. an 8-20C alkane as C source and a 3-20C alkylene as inhibitor, selecting the best-growing colonies, and opt. repeating this procedure one or more times. The inhibitor is 1-dodecyne (I). The yeast is Candida tropicalis or C.lipolytica and is subjected to mutagenesis before selection. ADVANTAGE - The method is more specific and gives high success rates tan prior art selection methods (cf. DE373812). |
