Water permeable filter packs - are used for land drainage and consist of plastics mesh bags and gravel filling

Drainage filter material (3) is placed in a tubular sleeve (2), the sleeve is formed from durable material plastics mesh, which will allow ground water to reach the filter media. The filter mediaa consists of gravel, chippings, rubble or recycled road materials. On completion of filling the drainage pack both ends are secured. Drainage packs are then placed in the drainage trench and covered as necessary. The size and weight of the drainage pack and of the filter media can be varied to suit individual requirements. Natural materials are used as an alternative to plastics mesh so long as they allow water to pass through. USE - For land drainage on batters on sides of road verges and inaccessible locations such as at the rear of retaining walls.
