Zusammenfassung:	The subject of the invention is a data processing device with a parallel bus, to which electronic modules are connected. An address is assigned to each module. A least one control module (6), which is connected to a section of the bus, is connected to at least one serial transmission channel, and contains a circuit arrangement to convert electrical signals of the bus into signals of the transmission channel and vice versa. The transmission channel is connected to a control module (7, 8, 9) of another section (11, 12, 13) of the bus. The control module (6) has a circuit arrangement to convert signals of the transmission channel into electrical signals of the bus and vice versa (Fig. 1).
