Fire-extinguishing pistol

The invention relates to a fire-extinguishing device for fighting fires in freight containers which can be transported in mobile freight compartments. In this case, the fire-extinguishing device consists of a pistol-like basic body, in which a clampable and releasable hollow bolt is guided in a barrel-like bore. For fire-fighting, the shooting device is placed against the wall of a freight container which has started to burn so that the hollow bolt, when released, pierces the wall of the freight container. The fire-extinguishing means can subsequently be introduced from an extinguishing-means container via a hose and through the hollow bolt of the shooting device into the freight container where the fire is to be extinguished.
