Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to cast inserts in which a, preferably metallic, part subjected to load is embedded in a plastic part by moulding. The aim of the invention is to improve the strength of the joint between the plastic part and the metal part. According to the invention, a recessed, flattened region (4) of the insert (3) is provided on its top and bottom side with depressions (7), formed, in particular, by intersecting grooves (8) with raised portions (9) being formed between the grooves (8). The invention can be employed for plastic parts with inserts embedded by moulding.
