The housing is intended to enable a simplified assembly of the electricity meter. Furthermore, components and insulators are to be saved. In the housing, a clamping block (2) is directly integrally moulded on to a box-shaped base plate (1). Between them, an outer wall (1a) is recessed in such a way that connecting terminals (4, 4a) can be inserted from above. The connecting terminals (4, 4a) are held by a bridge-like moulding (5) which can be locked on to the clamping block (2). The moulding (5) closes the recess (1c) flush with the edge and in a sealing manner above the connecting terminals (4, 4a) and, with suspension eyes (5d), forms the lower fastening of the electricity meter. The housing is provided, in particular, for a three-phase meter with an inductive measuring mechanism.
