Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method and driving device for influencing the position of rolling band which is fed to a winder, the driving device being provided with a first speed-regulated roll mounted in the standard and with a second speed-regulated roll mounted offset relative to the first roll in such a way that the roll axes are located in two vertical planes spaced horizontally from one another, the rolls being adjustable to nip clearances corresponding to different band thicknesses and, in the case of one of these, the two bearing housings being supported removably. As a result of deviations in the position of the band edge at the exit from the driving device, known methods and driving devices of this type lead to uneven end faces of the wound coils which, according to the invention, are avoided in that, in the case of a domed design of one of the rolls, forces are generated transversely to the run-through direction of the rolling band, with the positive connection in the driving nip being maintained, as a result of a staggering of the roll axes which is regulated according to the position of the band edge. An inadmissible deviation in the position of the band edge can be compensated by means of these forces, so that the coils can be wound with even end faces. |
