Zusammenfassung:A process is described for manufacturing a flameless carbon furnace for atomic absorption spectroscopic analysis, which comprises the following steps: Mixing an organic composition from a mixture of one or more of a monomer, prepolymer or low polymer of a heat-curable resin having a high carbon residue yield as viscous binder after firing with a powder mixture of one or more carbon powders of natural graphite, synthetic graphite, carbon black and coke powder, compounding the mixture, primary forming of the moulding mixture obtained to give a tubular shape, subsequent treatment to make infusible and insolubilising the moulded piece, cutting machining such as parting, bevelling (edging) or drilling of the moulded piece obtained for secondary forming into the shape of the desired carbon furnace for atomic absorption spectroscopic analysis, carbonising in an inert gas atmosphere, and further heating to 2000@C or above for heat treatment of the moulded piece. This carbon furnace makes it possible to measure a series of trace elements at high sensitivity and accuracy in comparison with conventional carbon furnaces. In this way, there is provided a carbon furnace for flameless atomic absorption spectroscopy having a long lifetime. The process of the invention allows simpler manufacture of the shaped part with excellent dimensional accuracy in comparison with ... Original abstract incomplete.
