Zusammenfassung:	In a machine tool, a joint filled with a connecting layer (3) is provided between the machine bed (1) and a base bracket (2). The base bracket (2) is thereby connected to the machine bed (1) in a reliably sealing and firm manner and can be designed as a collecting pan and/or coolant tank. Due to the inherently stable construction of the base bracket (2), no local bending moments develop on the machine bed (1), so that there is no risk of creeping and therefore a true three-point installation can be realised.
