Zusammenfassung: | In the case of a hose clamp comprising a flexible metal band (1) which exhibits a radially outwardly projecting eyelet (2) which is open radially inwardly before the hose clamp is braced and is intended for bracing the hose clamp by pressing the eyelet legs (20) together, the gap of the eyelet (2) is spanned by a band portion (5), and the band (1) is provided, in the overlapping region of the band end portions (9, 10), with securing means (13) which are arranged one behind the other in the circumferential direction, are located on one band end portion (9) and can be brought into engagement with at least one corresponding securing means (19) on the other band end portion (10). In order to be able to use a comparatively thin metal band (1) and, nevertheless, avoid widening of the eyelet (2) after bracing, the invention ensures that the band portion which spans the eyelet gap is a lug (5) which is formed by an approximately U-shaped incision in the band region which forms the eyelet (2), before said eyelet (2) is bent outwards, extends in a circumferential direction and, once the eyelet legs (20) have been pressed together in order to brace the hose clamp, can be hooked to the band portion which overlaps the lug (5), with the result that the eyelet (2) is secured against widening. |
