Zusammenfassung:	A method for determining the load capacity of traffic areas (roadways) 2 of rigid construction comprises applying a defined load 3 to the roadway and moving it towards an instrument 1 for the measurement of inclination mounted on the roadway, until the instrument and the centre of application of the load coincide. Angular defections at the valley of depression 4 forming in the roadway are continuously measured by the inclinometer 1 in dependence on the distances covered, and the sum of the individual defections and the volume of the valley of depression are evaluated as the main data for the determination of the load capacity.
