Apparatus for handling glass panes of small dimensions

The subject of the invention is a gripping apparatus, constructed in a scissor-like manner, for glass panes of small dimensions, in particular for stacking and unstacking, for transferring or for aligning small glass panes for automobiles within a manufacturing line. Two levers (19, 20) connected together in a scissor-like manner have, at their end sections, fingers (15, 16, 17, 18) arranged perpendicularly to the scissor plane. The glass pane (1) is grasped at four points on its peripheral surface by means of these four fingers (15, 16, 17, 18). The scissor levers (19, 20) are opened and closed by a pneumatic cylinder (21) via two push rods (23, 24). The scissor linkage is mounted on a base plate (26) which, for its part, is provided with a flange (27) with which the gripping apparatus is fastened on a customary manipulator.
