VERFAHREN ZUR HERSTELLUNG VON 3-AMINO-1-BENZYL-PYRROLIDINEN

3-Amino-1-benzylpyrrolidines of the formula (I) in which R and R are identical or different and each denote H or alkyl, are prepared by reaction of 1-benzyl- DELTA -pyrroline-2,5-diones of the formula (II) with nitrogen nucleophiles of the formula (III> R NH2 (III> to give substituted or unsubstituted 3-amino-1-benzylpyrrolidine- 2,5-diones of the formula (IV) R and R in formula (II) being identical or different and denoting H or alkyl, R representing H, benzyl, naphthylmethyl or a substituent phenyl-CHR where R is C1-C6-alkyl or phenyl and R and R have the abovementioned meaning, followed by elimination of the protective group R in the case where R is not H to give 3-amino-1- benzylpyrrolidine-2,5-diones of the formula (IVa) and conversion into the 3-amino-1-benzylpyrrolidines of the formula (I) by complete reduction of the carbonyl groups.
