Zusammenfassung:	Novel 4,6-dimethyl-2-phenylaminopyridine-3-carbonitriles of the formula (I) in which R stands for hydrogen, methyl or methoxy and their use for the control of pests such as fungi, especially of BCM-resistant fungal strains. The novel 4,6-dimethyl-2-phenylaminopyridine-3-carbonitriles are defined by the formula (I) and can be prepared by analogous processes, e.g. from 4,6-dimethyl-2-halopyridine-3-carbonitriles with suitable 2-methylanilines.
