The invention relates to novel morpholines and morpholine-N-oxides of the formula in which A represents an N-alkylene group which is optionally mono- or disubstituted by methyl or ethyl groups, X represents a bond or an oxygen atom, R1 represents a group of the formula in which R3 represents a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl, alkyl or alkoxy group or an amino group which is optionally substituted by one or two alkyl groups, R4 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl group and R5 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or a trifluoromethyl group, R2 denotes a hydroxyl, alkoxy, carboxyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl or dialkylaminocarbonyl group, an alkoxy group which is substituted at the end by a carboxyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl or dialkylaminocarbonyl group, an alkoxy group which is substituted at the end by a hydroxyl, alkoxy or phenylalkoxy group, or an ethylene group which is optionally substituted by an alkyl group and which is substituted at the end by a carboxyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl or dialkylaminocarbonyl group, and n denotes the number 1 or alternatively, if R1 represents a group of the formula in which R5 is defined as at the beginning, denotes the number 0, their optical isomers and their diastereomers, and their acid addition salts which [lacuna] useful ...
