Zusammenfassung: | Method for the hot rolling of bar stock which can be employed with the use of a longitudinal tension with a forming effect in rolling installations with an HV layout. The aim of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of forming and to attain a flexible mode of operation in the continuous hot forming of bar stock on separate roll lines of modular design. The object is, with a maximum reduction in height, to use the longitudinal pulling actions with a forming effect to intensify the forming process. According to the invention, the object is achieved by the fact that, in single-strand operation, with two roll stands forming a compact double roll-stand unit, free entry into the first stand takes place, the emerging cross-section having, upon entry to the second stand, a bo/ho ratio = 0.5, the longitudinal compressive forces from the first stand contributing to this, guaranteeing a relative reduction in height of at least epsilon = 60%, and, as the thickened bar ends which occur pass through, the matching of rotational speed in the double rolling-stand units is performed in conjunction with the variation of the reduction in height in the first stand. |
