Zusammenfassung:The resonator is dimensioned to produce two different modes of resonance, namely, for the ignited gas discharge a TE111 mode, and for the non-ignited discharge at TM010 mode. The position of the maxima of the field of both modes may at least nearly agree. The resonator is pref. a cavity type of circular cylinder form. The diameter and height may be independently adjustable to determine the respective resonance modes. Pref. a coupler (9,12) feeds the oscillations into the device, with at least nearly equal transfer in either mode. The coupler may comprise a loop with adjustable size and/or direction. ADVANTAGE - Optimal energy transfer for both ignited and non-ignited gas.
