Zusammenfassung: | The electronic lunar globe is a rotatable, three-dimensional precision instrument by means of which all lunar eclipses, occlusions of stars and planets and phases etc. can be reproduced for a period of 10000 years in a way which is true to nature and is independent of time and place. Surface finish with shadow relief. Accuracy of lunar position: 1 angular second. The colour of the sky in each case reproduced in a way which is true to nature in accordance with the solar attitude and the degree of half light. The sequence is followed in real time, with a continuous date and time display, in accordance with the date input, geographical location and time. 4 magnifications (telescope) and two extensions of the sector of sky can be selected, in which the planets and all the stars up to a magnitude of 6 appear in the vicinity of the lunar orbit (Jupiter with its 4 brightest moons, Saturn with its system of rings and largest moon Titan, Mercury and Venus in the correct phases). The following can be selected in addition: measurement of the heights of lunar mountains/diameters of craters and different networks of parallels and meridians. Information (selection by clicking on) on planets, stars, eclipses, transits of planets and stars, craters, mountain ranges, maria etc. Technical and physical data by selection. The globe is self-explanatory. The accompanying text includes a large number of examples which can be reproduced by inputting the date, location and time. |
