Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an electronic power drive for centrifugal separators, preferably for relatively large powers, in which the motor is flanged directly onto the spindle of the centrifugal separator. The object of the invention consists in ensuring an optimum speed of revolution which can be adjusted during the start-up phase, operating phase and slowing-down phase by the direct drive of the separator spindle and, by using series motors, to keep the operating costs and manufacturing costs low, accompanied by optimum mass/power behaviour. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the drive, the control and regulating of a standard-design induction motor, preferably a three-phase squirrel-cage motor is carried out by means of a known frequency convertor, consisting of an uncontrolled three-phase bridge and a multi-pulsed three-phase power inverter which is built up with thyristors and operates in a computer-supported manner and the corresponding speed of revolution of the separator is set by means of the frequency convertor as a function of the process parameters. |
