Apparatus for controlling the delivery speed on roving machines

The control of the delivery speed has hitherto been carried out by adjusting the flyer speed by means of mechanical or electromechanical control elements. A disadvantage of this is that material outlay and outlay in terms of work time for the production and work time for the exchange of these control elements are incurred. The new apparatus is to make it possible for the delivery speed to be adapted in an optimum manner to the roving to be processed, without the use of mechanical or electromechanical control elements. A memory unit (5) is programmed in such a way that various speed-reduction characteristics corresponding to the characteristic run of the bobbin winding are stored in it, and that the memory unit (5) is assigned a preselection module (6) for selecting the characteristic, a correcting device (7), a characteristic-stepping device (8) and a resetting device (9). The apparatus makes it possible to control the delivery speed on roving machines in optimum adaptation to the roving to be processed.
