Base for a cable junction housing

The invention relates to a base for a cable junction housing having a box-shaped base lower part 1 for a base upper part 2 which supports the cable junction housing. In the case of a known base, the upper part and lower part consist of two half shells which require relatively large-volume tools for forming the half shells out of plastic and, on the other hand, require relatively large storage spaces during storage and transportation. In contrast, the base lower part 1 is formed from a plurality of rectangular plates 4 which have rows of teeth 10 (which are integrally formed on the outer edges) with through-openings 13 running through the rows of teeth 10, parallel to the outer edges, connecting rods 14 being pushed into the through-openings 13 of two plates 4 whose rows of teeth 10 engage in one another (Figure 1).
