Thermoplastic band for covering a joint and process for the production thereof

A thermoplastic band is described which is intended to serve for covering a joint of plastic conduit pipes. For welding the plastic band in the region of its longitudinal seam and to the plastic pipe ends, a heating conductor is used which is completely inset into the surface of the plastic band.
